No one should be this tired on a Monday

WOW…exhausted…

Well I started off the “weekend” Thursday night, dressed up and heading out, yes dressed up to the Dive but it was a beautiful night and I was feeling good. It was Sixpoint night at the Dive so I knew Sara and Julie would be there at the very least, so without contacting anyone I just headed out. The plan was one drink, that is always the plan. How do I forget that once I am sitting around a huge table at the Dive with my friends that one drink will almost always turn into a late night. I started talking with this chap who knows Sara, a professor at Holy Cross about Mexico, his southern upbringing, hiking, backpacking and a million other things. It was nice to have a conversation where numbers were exchanged but the mission wasn’t trying to get me to go home with him, almost refreshing. Wow I am becoming a jaded individual. So my one drink turned into conversation on the Dive Bar patio until almost 1:30. What the hell was I thinking? I had to pick my mom up at 7am at Sears to head to the new place and wait for the internet.

Friday happened, I was tired but things were moved, internet was set up, some unpacking, etc. I ended up going until about 8:30 that night, headed to the loft and fell asleep as soon as I hit the mattress. Saturday was my big moving day, I woke up at 6am, loaded the car up and headed to the new place, unpacked and showered til it was time to head to Uhaul to pick up the truck. Grabbed a very large Iced Americano at In House and off I went.

I ended up with more than enough help, Rich was the first to arrive, then Chad, Mike, Kelly and Jason. Took us about an hour to load and less than an hour to unload. I would say most of the things headed to the shelves in the basement, I love the storage. After this Rich and I went to return the UHaul and then get the last few things at the loft, including the cats. I didn’t clean the unit because I figure they bought a foreclosure and his “Buying people’s broken dreams and making money off them” attitude needs to be reevaluated. He has a lot of repairs in that place between the garbage disposal and the bathroom sink…

We then headed to the new place, got the cats all set, took showers and decided it was time to eat. Headed to Mezcal because I also believed I needed a margarita to make the day better. Kelly ended up meeting up with us for food and on the way out we noticed that Seed to Stem was having their Grand Opening so we stepped inside for a bit and I walked out with a terrarium that Rich got for me with two air plants both in flowering stages. Kelly had said she was going to come over for a bit and help me with some minor unpacking, so she and I unpacked until it was time for Rich and I to head to the movies. I was beat and sitting in a movie theater sounded about right. We went to see Prometheus, which I believe was Rich’s like 6th time watching, he does that he will go see the same movie 10 times in a movie theater I remember when Kick Ass came out that was one that was a multi trip movie for him. I enjoyed it, and the end set it up for a 2nd movie, or maybe the prequel.

We chilled for a bit, but I needed to get to sleep, even once he left I was awake until almost 1am, time for Liz to come home and tell me about her adventures for the day, gonna be nice having a roommate and helps it is a good friend already.

Yesterday I woke up early and got some homework done, this term has been SLACKING, I hope that now I am settled into my new place I can focus on school a bit more. Also being single now makes it so I decide where I put my energy. I realized my energy does not need to be put towards guys at this point, school and finding a job. I had made plans with Kelly and Matt to go pick strawberries, taste some wines and hike, so that is what we did. We headed to Charlton Orchards to pick strawberries and attached is the Obadiah McIntyre Farm Winery, where I couldn’t get enough of their fruit wines. The strawberries were $3.00 per lb and then the wine tasting was $5.00 but you get to keep the glass.  We then headed to Buffemville Lake in Oxford to do a partial loop, not a bad stroll through the woods and some decent views. We did half the lake as the full loop would be a much longer afternoon stroll. It was what I could handle for being outside yesterday, the two previous days I had gotten in about 40k steps and yesterday was 17k. My legs have been moving the last few days, lots of stairs, lots of lifting. We then headed to the Abbey for post hiking in the woods cocktails, always the best.  I got home around 4:30, sat at my desk for a bit then showered, by this time Liz had got home so we decided to hit all the kitchen stuff up, so we now have dining room space and the kitchen is just about perfect. Hopefully have the washer and dryer hooked up this afternoon, maybe.

Well it is Monday and I am exhausted but it is homework day. I just made myself some coffee, decided my weekend recap of writing would get my brain working today. I have a phone interview with FCHP at 3:30 today, and some errands to do….GO!
