Busting my butt…

Sore today…

So I despise the gym, I loathe its existence. I go when I am either short on time or just not wanting to do anything physical at all. But the last two weeks I have taken full advantage of having the time to do something that also makes me happy so I am back to my 2-3 and maybe 4 times a week heading to Wachusett for a quick jaunt up West Side to Old Indian and back down. I have improved my time, my footing and damn happy about discovering how great my Barefoot’s are for being mountain goat like on the trail. Knock on wood but the last 4 times I have went up I have not rolled my ankle once or jammed my knee.

I am trying to get my time up and down to be about an hour, yesterday was tough if only because of all the rain we have had the trails were pure mud and 20 foot puddles, which made my Barefoots look like this:

Those shoes are currently in the wash, they should be good as new in a bit.

So this workout may work for me, and the nice drive to the mountain in the Spring/Summer makes it worth it, playing music with the window down. I have been busting my butt with working out and trying to eat right (currently this is hard as all my stuff is packed up, but next week, it’s on). I am hanging around 18 lbs lost, which is fine need to maintain for a couple weeks and then start losing again.

Another 20 lbs and I will be a happy Crystal, I will be back to 2006, maybe even better than 2006 Crystal. Hell already back in the two pairs of jeans I have held onto for the last 6 years just to get back into them.

But legs are sore today, I have been close to running up and very much running down, thanks to my Merrell Barefoot Pace Gloves, next investment a pair with Gore-Tex as my feet tend to get wet in these, in the warm months on a small hike it is fine but I need a little more.
