I am not one to give into “rumors”, but this whole situation of Palin’s baby being Bristol
baby has grabbed my attention. I have been over on a few websites that both have hundreds and thousands of other people feeding their opinion and I am happy that all of my first impressions of her are shared by many people.
If only I could see ‘better” pics of Sarah and Bristol from January 08 to April 08. Either way I feel bad for Bristol if either she had a baby or she is with baby. No 16 year old needs this!
Blog #1
So I am not sure what to think. I am sure all of this will play out in the next few weeks and I have this small feeling that if any of this is the truth then Mrs. Palin just may step down, this could be to much. Again, I hate to say this is even close to the truth and I will leave this to the press. I could care less, except this would make her a liar in many ways and then I would have big issues with that.
Here is the post on Daily Kos. I share it because there is over 1700 comments posted. Amazing.
I do not think all of this is necessary but I would love to know if this is or isn’t true. I guess this is what someone gets when they are “unknown” from a small town in Alaska.
If this is the truth it would be a severe mistake on McCains part, now lets get into the fundraising for the Red Cross so we can distract the world from the truth…
This is a great post also : The Field

So opening up the Sunday Paper today, I almost always go straight to the HOME section.
I knew that units at
Kettle Brook Lofts had closed last month, I even went back and forth with Julie about the fact we had a couple of them speak to us via email or the UPL blog stating they had to close or loss money.
Well their was a couple of them that closed with no mortgage on file so they would have most likely lost most of the money they had put down, two of them that put around the 20% range down and a couple with 5k down.
I know if Neil and I had went forward last spring/summer and kept our reservation, then moved forward with setting the closing date in January we would have most likely walked away from what ever we put down to save us the aggravation that is only going to come to the next University Park Lofts- KETTLE BROOK.
One of the owners in fact left comments on the University Park Lofts blog about wanting to start her own blog about the quality and aggravation she has went thru, the inability to just walk away from the money she put down and had to close.
My question is “What happened to the other people that filled that January calendar for closing dates when we were in the fancy office at Kettle Brook?”
Did they all walk away? Are they still looking at closing? Are all the amenities that were suggested for the lofts, coming through?
Because at the sale prices of the sold/closed units in this weeks paper: 195k,175k,174k,170k,159k,158k,154k, an 150k, these people are in the state that we were in, we all bought at the original prices. Soon as all the people that were bullied and tricked into buying into these lofts have all closed, there will be left an unsold mass amount of units.
The developers did this at University Park Lofts, they refused to budge on pricing of the units until it was too late and they couldn’t afford to pay the loan they had with Strata Bank. Now the bank owns the units and they are selling for a HUGE cut on the original prices. The fact that our unit at 175K is the 2nd most expensive unit in the building and will be for a long time. The fact that the best units in the building are going for as little as 120k. Yes the listed unit at 130k have just been accepted for purchase at 120k. The bank is accepting even lower offers than what the already low prices are.
But although it will piss of the people at Kettle Brook that have already like us put the high price point as a mortgage, they will have to be ok with a lower price on existing units. I know Paul likes to think that he has built the dream, the best condos in Worcester. Well the best condos in Worcester can not trump the fact the prices are way out of the range that people are accepting to spend right now, and the fact that it is known now that the built units are nothing like the units that are for sale. The quality is half of what they are selling to people. And as I stated when Neil and I were looking at buying one of their SMALL units, they looked great with no one living in them, but once you put the people and all their STUFF in one of these units it would be tight and cramped.
I wish the best of the luck to the owners that are now in their units, I would love to come see your place because I did think they were nice looking lofts and to have water and open space makes for a nice summer in that area. I do hope that units closest to the water are no longer getting water into them, because I know all to well about water in a building. And if the current owners there want or need any advice in the future I AM HERE.
I think the one mistake Paul made was starting a 2nd phase before the 1st was complete and at least 1/2 closed and lived in.

CNN just reported that is Hurricane Gustav hits and causes any major devastation that the GOP convention then would become a time of public service/telethon. That the attention would draw to relief efforts. I really think that yes it is good to show that you have the interest of these poor folks in the Gulf Coast only 3 years after Katrina, but to use it as your platform to get elected I believe is tasteless.
I understand as a republican running after a messy last 8 years you need to make sure people understand that in fact you would handle things differently, but maybe moving the convention or shortening it. Hell do some real work and roll up your sleeves and help with relief efforts, that is true service. **
** I have done disaster relief in South Carolina,PR, and Ohio, so I can say this.Given the time I would help out whenever needed.

McCain names 44 year old, first term Alaskan Governor to be his VP!
Sarah Palin!
Yes a woman, yes the youngest person to hold this position in the state of Alaska.
She is behind safe drilling on domestic land. Oh I can see the stories now.
I must find out more about her, her pic is a sight for sore eyes (LOL)
12:17pm
Not sure what to think, I think he may have made a mistake here, she is a woman so that will be appealing to his female supporters, but on the same note why is a woman having a baby at 44 knowing she wants to move forward with her political future. She has a 5 month old, and going to be pushing on the campaign trail for the next 2 months. tisk tisk

- Every person on this planet is considered Obese by their doctors
- Every person has Hypertension
- Every person has Hyperlipidemia
- Every person has Hypo/Hyper thyroidism
- Every person suffers from a Depression Disorder
- People have more prescriptions than they could possibly be educated on them.
I now agree with my instructors that we are a country over over diagnosed, poorly diagnosed, over drugged individuals. I have looked at my own medicinal intake and started to re-evaluate what I think I should be taking and what I shouldn’t. A couple years ago I was taking 5-6 medications a day. Now I have two, soon to be even less!
Always research yourself before trusting the doctor to always be right, they are after all are only human. Drugs like Lipitor should be taken with caution and unless it is familiar hypertension, High LDL numbers should always be lowered from change of diet and exercise first. That just because someones cholesterol is over 200 does not mean they should be put on a drug that has high risk factors, this drug should be reserved for individuals who have around a 300 LDL, not 200. There is a mile long list of contradictions with this drug. For this to be the 11th most prescribed drug in the US as of the year 2005 and only growing in demand. That scares me!
When you see how many prescriptions people in this country, in this state live on- you have to think “What are the long term effects of these drugs on people?”

Can I first ask “Where did the summer go?”
I did very little kayaking (to much rain on the weekends), did not go to the beach even once, did no camping.
It has been a busy summer for me in every way but recreational, unfortunately!
But I have accomplished a lot over the summer, I have finished up with school, on my last 3 days of my externship, found a new job, started getting ready for my next educational adventure at Fisher College in about 8 weeks.
Now is the time for me to relax for a weekend!
Not 100% sure what we will be doing this weekend- I would love to go out a couple nights, kick back and converse.
I think we may head to the Abbey on Saturday, so if anyone is around come out and have a drink with us !!
Next weekend kicks off the busy season at The Hanover Theatre, we are working the Improve Asylum show on Saturday which from what I hear is a large college crowd. stART on the Street is in a few weeks and I will be volunteering this year! Excited
I start my new job on the 8th at Ameri-Dose which should be interesting if nothing else.
So if there is anything exciting going on this weekend let me know, I am up for some fun….

What I am tired of reading this morning is :
“the things I wanted to hear,” he “didn’t say how he was going to accomplish them.”
Give me a break, he had an hour of time to give a speech and it needed to have a Beginning, a middle and an end. Where in this hour was he suppose to explain the details of every decision he will make.
How about this one:
“What I wanted to hear, for example, was how he was going to strengthen the U.S. dollar,” Davilla said.”
or
“It was an excellent speech,” he said. “But I really wanted him to nail down what he’s going to do about the issues he’s running on.”
Again I do not even know any economist that could dumb down the process of strengthen the US dollar to make it so the “average” citizen of this fine country would understand. You can not do all of this is one hour, he went into enough details on where he stands with the economy and the war for an hour speech. Watch the next 67 days to hear what you may be looking for.
After all Obama as great as he is, he is only human he can inspire, motivate a generation of people that have not felt that the political process was interested in them,he can shed a new light on old issues. I do not believe that voting for McCain will make any ones future any better, well maybe the wealthest 2% of the population.

Watching the pre show of the Convention,I do believe that this will be and needs to be our future. Barack has inspired the new generation of leaders in the United States, who are not ok with “Business as Usual” Everything about the past four days has been nothing short of greatness, to make people who have lost HOPE in politics regain the motivation and energy to make something happen. I have been a true Obama supporter since day one of his running, he makes me excited once more about presidential campaign. I worked the convention in 2004 in Boston, with Kerry I never felt this rush, he is a good man but does not inspire. I only wish the convention was here in Boston this year, but it is held in my favorite city anyways. Lucky Denver. More to follow and I am so moved by each and every person that has spoken.
9:25pm
I really like Biden, I would like to have a beer with him and talk about goals and dreams, he seems like a GOOD person that has not been tainted by the many years he has served.
9:40pm
Speaking to regular folks from regular folks. Ordinary folks from Florida,Indiana, and New Mexico that shared why they are backing Barack. Barney Smith from Indiana states ” We need a government that puts Barney Smith before Smith Barney” Corny but oh so true.
5 minutes to 10pm… I am getting anxious!!!!
10:00pm

Bill Clinton couldn’t get the people to sit down and stop cheering, he asked “Please Sit Down.”
He did mention his support for Obama within 10 words.
Quotes of the Night:
“That campaign (between Obama and Clinton) generated so much HEAT it increased global warming”
“Hillary told us under no certain terms she would do everything in her power to elect Barack Obama, that makes two of us, wait that makes 18 million of us.”
“With his selection of a running mate, he hit it out of the park, with Joe Biden”
“Barack Obama is ready to be president of the United States”
“People abroad have always been more impressed by the power of our example than by the example of our power”
“America can do better than that, and Barack Obama will do better than that”
“Yes he can, but first we have to elect him” to all of the crowd chanting “Yes we can”
“In 2001, we saw what would happen if the policies that they (republicans) talked about for two decades actually happened”
“They want us to reward them for the last 8 years with another 4 years, lets send them a message from the Rocky Mountains”
“Thanks, But no thanks, in this case the third time is not the charm”
“That I was too young, too inexperienced to be commander in chief, does that sound familiar”
“Obama is on the right side of History”
“Barack Obama will lead us away from the fear of the last 8 years”
“America should always be called a place called Hope”
Bill’s Speech (after the fact, maybe I should wait for this to get my quotes)

I feel like I am missing the action on not blogging about my nightly watching of the DNC.
I am very much interested in everything that has been and will be said in the coming days. my personal thoughts already:
- Michelle Obama will be a splendid First Lady when Obama is elected for presidency in November. She is eloquent and intelligent, she is modern and classic at the same time. She will use her back ground in health care to work for the people. She is grounded which makes me respect her more. Ok and her speech made a few tears start rolling.
- Last nights Hillary speech had me angry when she finished, only because the word “I” was used one to many times for someone that should have put her personal tragedy of not being the democratic presidential nominee aside and 100% backing Obama. I believe that all the people that are still reluctant to vote for Obama just because Hillary is not the nominee need to step back and figure out what they want out of the next 4 years. Her speech last night was classic with one liners that will be the running liners for the rest of the election period. “No Way, No How, No McCain” or the two liner about McCain and Bush being one in the same and how perfectly fitting it is that the GOP convention is in the Twin Cities. I am not sure the speech achieved what it was suppose to, I understand whole heartily that Clinton has her own political future to secure, in the event that Obama does not win the election she will work on 2012 like it is 1999. I never thought for a moment that Hillary would be the VP running with Obama, there was far to many words used against each other(more so from Clinton to Obama) in the primaries and for people holding onto that “dream ticket” is a shame. Now they want to punish Obama by not voting at all or voting for a republican. This country can not afford 4 more years, in the words of Sen. Casey “4 more months, not 4 more years”.
As for tonight’s speech by Bill Clinton, I am not expecting fireworks. There is way to much harsh feelings between Obama and he. I do hope he is on board with this and can at least make other believe that he is.

So here is my random entry of the week…
Can anyone recommend a good sneaker/shoe for standing on my feet all day. I have bad knees and something that will give ample support and not look hideous (such as Crocs). My new job starts on the 8th and I will be wearing scrubs all day so something casual works best.
Thanks!!!
