So twice now I have placed “Truth about University Park Lofts” flyer’s on the front door of the buildings and they have been taken down either by a nasty old rickety realtor or neighbors that bitch and complain but do not want to tell the world of the craziness here because they hope to sell or rent their units.
Sorry to tell people NO ONE IS GOING TO BUY A UNIT IN THIS BUILDING THAT IS ALREADY LIVED IN or WHILE THE BS THAT IS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE WILL MAKES PEOPLE WALK AWAY.
Seems people that were so not for going in on a lawyer then realized that 3-4 of us were not going to carry the building and move forward on our own, so all of a sudden they want to contribute. What bullshit is that????? So the few of us with larger issues will move forward on our own.
We got copies of all the bills for the building. What the fuck???? We have no money but the management company has no problem paying themselves 400 a month? FOR WHAT?
As soon as possible we will become a self managed condo association. We have enough finance people in this building to take care of the details. $400 a month to clean the front lobby and the 3 hallways….What is that BS??? I clean for a living and the work they do would take me just over an hour, 100 dollars to do that work. I know that if we were running the show alot of unnecessary charges would be put away…
I spoke with someone a few weeks ago about resources for getting solar panels put on the roof. With a couple thousand a week in common area electricity and gas, why would be not look into it.
Anyways I may not have much but I have my words and I will continue to let as many people as I can to just wait it out before looking here. Any rentals will just keep Brett Levy in control and make our association go even further into debt. The motion from the bank yesterday stated any rentals that would be allowed, if or wait WHEN the bank takes over they will do immediate evictions no matter what the cost are.
So just wait it out a couple months…..Honestly none of us want renters here, but money coming into the association is better than none. We want other owners, not renters….We want the value of the building to stay and not loss more money and 29 rentals will hurt that, but they would be temporary until the market gets better.
Stubborn I am….I will keep letting people know of the TRUTH!!!!!
If renters do move into the building, assuming they are NOT crackheads, are you going to give them a hard time? give them the cold shoulder? shun them? cast aspersions about them on this blog?
That is the most ridiculous comment I have ever read. No but there is people renting one owners unit here and I have said 3 words to them ever because they are not involved in the working of the building.They are not part of the association or going thru hell with us right now. We don’t want renters because renters bring down the value of your home and make it almost impossiable to refinance because there is 2 banks out there that deal with low owner occupied financing in condos. we do not want renters while the current idiot still owns the exsisting units because that will then keep a bankrupt entity in control of a buildings whose upkeep and maintance is falling by the waist side.
And if you feel like writing such a silly comment again at least make it know who you are or I will not publish it.
But seriously I only really like a couple people in the building beyond a casual HELLO, we join forces because we have to in order to make sure our investments are protected. But other than that there is nothing. There is no real community here unfortuntly. There is no “Let’s go out for cocktails”
But again the biggest issue with renters is the value of the building goes down, people who rent do not have the “pride of homeownership” like people who own. They are not going to spend hours on the weekend picking up slack such as cleaning the hall walls and picking weeds because we can not afford to hire people to do it. So in essence they will add to the problem not help it.
P.S. and I give most of the world a cold shoulder. If everyone wasn’t such idiots I would like a lot more people. I give all a chance but most fail….
And people renting in a building with owners need to understand there is a certain level of living, we may be in Main South but we are far from the NORM of this neighborhood.
