So what have I learned in the last 2 days?
Well for beginners that I am far more intelligent that most of the population.
Ok if judged on my grammer in my blog most would question that, but seriously I get bored.
So it is the 2nd day of classes and I am still alive, strange to be an adult student. I mean I skated my way thru high school. I would dread each and every day of going to that place where I hated all people. Now that I am paying for school, I am going to get all I can out of it. I want more, I am so thirsty for knowledge right now that I am willing to stay after for the workshops that give extra credit. Who said I can not aim for a 110 average.
Perfect right…….

A few hours away from munching on some yummy food. Oh yeah I love Thanksgiving.
Been busy but not busy. Trying to get things taken care of before I start school on Monday. I did find a part time job as an office assistant for Harbro Auto in Whittensville. The hours seem to work around school, but I will be super busy and I hope to have time for homework.
So just a quick Happy Thanksgiving to all…..

I do this so much goes on in life then I am so far behind.
So I got the grant for school, it is only for 5,000 but that is 5k more that I do not need to pay. I finalized the financial aid paperwork, which reminds me I need to resend my reference address to them. Mental note will do.
This past Monday was Neil’s birthday so he got the whole damn weekend to celebrate. Saturday we last minute decided we wanted to go out to eat and we both were craving something simple as burgers.. so headed in the direction on Red Robbin, only to see close to 100 people waiting for tables. Then drove our asses around and decided on the Belfry a Greek owned restaurant that was yummy. I have a spankopita and Neil had Chicken Kabobs.
Sunday we knew Neil’s folks were going to come down on Monday so we cleaned, organized and touched up some of the paint that had been torn away from big kitty Peanut.
Monday Neil’s folks came down and we went to the Sole for lunch. I had this very good Swordfish Burgers over sauteed Artichoke hearts, Roasted red peppers and onions. Very Very GOOD.
So that is all about new for me. I am still looking for a PT job that I will stay at for sometime while going to school……
Yesterday was Neil and I’s day for celebrating that we can live with each other for so long and still be in love…

Been one of those weeks. So damn bored I could claw my eyes out, but I have plenty I could be doing. I have like 6 craft projects that I needed to be started for months now.
This week was not busy like last week, I have spent far to much time at home awaiting calls and checks…
Hopefully I will find out this week about the grant for school, it is for 5k dollars and would help a great deal. I worry a bit because my unemployment will run out before I am done with school but my fantastic BF states we know now so we can be prepared. The next year will be a NONE spending year which sucks because we are still in a new home that is in desperate need for windows fixtures. This winter is going to blow because I am already cold but we need to watch spending and not have a repeat of August’s electricity bill. My whole idea that the sun will warm our unit as it does in the summer is BLOWN. Because this winter sun comes NOWHERE close to our windows. Nice because I do not have to wear sunglasses in the house but shitty because it is COLD.
Below is each set of the windows, you have to remember that they are 8 feet high and besides a couple columns they take up TWO full walls.

So head to my moms for a bit today and help her paint since Mem and Lyle will be arriving on Monday for a few days. Then go out for drinks maybe tonight.
The weekend needs to hurry up…….

so Neil came home last Friday with some beers and mentioned he made his way to KJ Baaron’s new store across from Union Station. He thought I would be in my dream world since they carry, Wine-Great Beers-Cheese and Chocolate. All the things that make me happy.
So Monday I was driving back from Shrewsbury St. and decided to take a look for myself. I have never been to their old location at the Courtyard downtown, so this was my first impression.
LOVED IT.
See a few weeks ago Neil and I had ventured over to The Dive Bar and had a few different beers. One of the ones I had was Gouden Carolus Noel vintage 2005. Alec had been aging the beer for the last couple years. A Belgium beer that has such a nutty-fruity taste. Yummmms
So I seen they carried this at KJ’s. The bottle is 11.00 but I am saving it for this weekend.
I mentioned to the girl working there that I was introduced to this beer from Alec and she mentioned he helps supply them with it. So I buy he supplies.
I also picked up a piece of nutmeg infused chocolate, had too…
A+++++
Check them out.
The website does not seem to be up and running but keep it on your radar.

So this last week and a half has been crazy and chaotic.
I am unemployed once more, the issues of not enough contracts and so on……
But this time I am not jumping into the first job that is offered to me because………
I am going to school !!!!!!!!
So what has transpired in the last week is this. Lost job….Went to a seminar for unemployment and the Workforce Central Career Center. I learned alot of what is offered to people while they are “between” jobs. This year has not been the best of years and I know now that I should have never left Scholastic. If I didn’t I would be sitting pretty at home making calls to my customers while being able to throw a load of laundry in. See Scholastic made me believe that I was a great sales person. After 3 years at that job I was certain I could handle anything. I mean things always were going a muck in the world of books. What i learned is I was a great ACCOUNT MANAGER, not a great sales person.
I went then to Moving.com , which i was told was an Account Manager position, NOPE. Cold calling all day long. You know log onto Superpages.com and put in Moving Company in Tulsa OK. Call them….BLAH So I lasted two months there with a couple contracts short of what there overly extreme expectations where.. Ok get on the phone April 1st…..Have 10 contracts by April 30th. YEAH RIGHT…. Good luck with that one.
So then I found a job to fill the void of no job before closing on the loft. Acme Wholesale, I have spent far to much time on this company in this blog. Worst company I have ever worked for and I will leave it at that.
Then After getting the boss to fire me at Acme, what you think I was going to quit???? Hellz NO..
I started a Temp to Perm position with Cox Business. Again not enough contracts equals not a successful salesperson.
So this puts us at last Tuesday. I have since then sat in hours of seminars, meetings with The Salter School ect…….I am going to have to take out a loan but hey everyone who is someone has some sort of Student Loans to pay off right.
wish me luck on my 2nd week of unemployment…..
