In the new home, the loft still smells of faint construction sweat. The walls are dusty and the floors need a good washing.
To lazy to put the bed together last night, lying only 15 inches the thickness of the mattress off the floor the ceiling seems like a cloud filled sky. Looking across the loft to big 8 foot by 17 foot windows. The flicker of the street lights are almost poetic. The rumble of the train passing is a reminder of the first nights of our relationship when it was a new thing for Neil to hear a train so close.
Waking to the morning sun peaking in little by little each minute of the 30 minutes I lay there thinking. Wow after everything that has happened in the last 8 months, this has finally happened. Long time coming and almost like nothing happened at all. I have been told that when you get the 1st mortgage bill in and you see this amount of how much longer you have before you would even have this house paid off. That is when the knowing you own the place is for real.
So tonight we will go “home” to the place that allows us to check “own” under credit applications now , fix up the kitchen and put the bed together.
pictures will follow………

CAN YOU HEAR ME LOVE??????????????????
Last week Neil was looking at reviews of
Sage Francis tour since we had seen him the beginning of the tour in Cambridge MA. We went last week to see him in Providence. He found out that the artist that designed Sage’s “Human the Death Dance” album cover and also has made her art centered around Sage’s work. It was Sarah Coleman’s ‘Write Off The World’ exhibit is being held until the 25th of July. Last night was the “opening party” which had the art of Sarah Coleman and Performances by Sage Francis at his best- accapelo spoken word to a small intimate crowd of maybe a hundred people. He also had Tom Inhalor who played his first solo song out ever this held at the Pawtucket artist Studio space Machines With Magnets. Also had the poetry of Bernard Dolan.

I was very much impressed with the work, it is fun when you are a huge fan of Sage’s such as myself that all the artwork matchs up to a song/poem of Sage’s and you find yourself singing to yourself.
Neil and I purchased some of Sarah’s wallpaper, and very much excited to get it up somewhere in the loft.
Check it outLast nights performance was free and it was the best night I have had in sometime, even if Sage was sweating on me. Will have pictures to post soon…
The past couple weeks have been super crazy, busy and my brain is going in 8 million directions. Lets see camping at the folks house until next weekend in Connecticut, Started my new job which is fun because it is challenging. Keeps me on my toes and working in a new industry keeps things fresh. But then again I can’t wait for this job to become like second nature.
Neil and I have bought furniture, looked for furniture and drive ourselves crazy. Decided a bed we will get is not what we want but we will keep looking once things slow down a bit… You know like in December.
Tonight going to see Sage Francis in Providence, went to his first shows in Cambridge and now his last on the current Tour. Excited but so damn tired I will be dragging tomorrow when Neil and I get ourselves to Brimfield to see how many mid century pieces and decor items we can find. I swear our new loft will be kick ass.
Anyway…Lunch is about up and I have no Internet of my own for at least another week. I will be around then and back up and running.
How did I ever live without the Internet. Well I really didn’t have too. My folks were the first ones I know to have the Internet. We had shitty AOL dial up in 1994, when you would get dropped off every 3 minutes….
