So the house search is a tad on the overwhelming side. But fun non the less…
So today we thought hell we will go check out unit 303 at The Fremont. Well the floor plan was completely wrong and the space in my opinion was not used in the best way possible. So we came back to unit #204. Good old 204!!!! This is the unit we keep coming back to because it overlooks the chimney stack and the parking lot. It has 5 huge windows…. Two walls of brick and this incredible hallway.
But of course we needed to have another showing today at the “INSERT NAME HERE” Condos…. We drove into the neighborhood and we both were like fuck this….Seriously fuck this. I knew of the area and knew it was shaddy but hell I told the guy I would meet at 12noon and true to my work I am….We went to see it.
So the outside still says “SCHOOL” all over it and it was just that from the late 1890′s until 1985.
We went inside and within a few minutes were both blown away with the beauty of this condo. It was large at almost 1600sq feet and the owner has kept the place in amazing condition. With many upgrades and new wondergul details. The master bedroom as the Chalkboard in the room a bathroom and huge closet”room”. The second bedroom is quaint and bright, has a TV set that is on the wall and it stays. The main bathroom has the prettiest of bathrooms and beautiful tile floors. The kitchen has all been refaced with Ikea Beech cabinets and the Laundry closet is off the kitchen. The dining room has a nice sized rectangle hole in the wall to see into the living room. The living room is the real deal. A very large room with a built in hutch with etched glass and closets that are 12 feet high and a HD projector and screen. I AM IN LOVE
So we were in love with the condo and the owner seems still very much in love with the condo but says we look like a couple that “FIT” with it. So hopefully when we give a slighty lower then his asking price he will remember how awesome we are 
We will crunch some number and run the offer price against the mortgage companies can do for us….We need to figure out heating cost, the possibility of getting a roommate for the 1st year and weather or not we can do without a fitness center and still afford a gym…The local Y is only $68 for the two of us and has raqetteball and a rock climbing wall.
Part time job here I come….How much money can we stock away the 1st year !!!!! I just hope this guy will be ok with what we can offer…Hell a thousand dollar mortgage & HOA fees can be costly.
Besides that we did drive-bys on a couple places, not impressed and I really think nothing will impress us like the one we saw today!!! But maybe that is me being silly. We did stop at the Lofts @ Bigelow Mills today going up here in Clinton. They are CUTE. But not what I am looking for. I want fun, funky, eclectic and artsy, not CUTE
